Lewis Costello

Lewis Costello (born 7 February 1993) is an English comedian, writer, and actor. His style involves storytelling and discussing popular culture. Stuart Holmes of CityLife commented; "Running through a mixture of laddish humour, original observations, and a particularly clever deconstruction of Biblical events... He has both the confidence and material to go far in a competitive industry, and is certainly a talent to watch out for in the near future."
==Career==
Costello has performed to thousands of people worldwide. In 2008, Costello performed with Brendon Burns. He opened the "You Must Be Joking!" Comedy Festival which featured shows from Jimmy Carr, Dylan Moran, Russell Howard and Jason Manford amongst others. In February 2009, Costello was the support act for Ed Byrne who asked him to perform at a second show with him at the Salford Lowry, playing to a sell-out 1,730 crowd. Later in February, Costello took his act to New York performing on the same stages as Chris Rock, David Letterman, Dave Chappelle and Robin Williams. Costello has also performed on the same stage as Eddie Izzard. Costello joins Richard Hammond on a list of people who have broadcast on BBC Radio Lancashire – he provided the comic voice of the BBC Introducing show until September 2009. In May 2009, Costello was selected to compete in the Manchester heat of So You Think You're Funny?. He then went on to headline the Manchester Comedy Festival on 24 October 2009. He was an additional writer for Russell Howard's Good News and opened for American comic Doug Stanhope on his 20th anniversary in stand-up comedy.
